So the connection to my project here is very loose, but...this was too cool not to share! The non-profit organization for whom I work has joined forces with Nicholas Negroponte's One Laptop Per Child initiative and is piloting a project in NYC public schools using the laptops. The "XO" laptop has audio and video recording capability along with BETTER WIRELESS connectivity than your expensive Mac or PC - and it only costs $188!
